Z Club Flier

Z Club, a program of Zonta International, provides opportunities for young women in high school to develop leadership skills, explore career alternatives, and improve international understanding through service projects.

Z Club is supported by the Zonta Club of Jefferson City. It is an organization made up of ladies in high school (freshman thru seniors). The first Z Club of Jefferson City, started in the mid 1990’s and was sponsored by Dr. Laurel Kramer, a Zonta member.

Z-Club offers an excellent opportunity for students to meet other students from the local schools. Students from JC, Helias, Blair Oaks, and Russellville have participated in the past, but it is certainly not limited to those schools. Students from all the Cole County High Schools are encouraged to participate. Z Club ask young ladies to come together for service, education and social activities, with four to five Zontains from the Zonta Club of Jefferson City serving as club sponsors.

Young women can join Z Club throughout the school year.  If you have daughters, nieces, or neighbors in high school, please encourage them to contact us about attending a meeting to learn more about Z Club.  Contact Liz Ziegler elziegler2@gmail.com or Becky Bocklage rjgordanbocklage1@ccis.edu.

Z-Club was honored by the state legislature with a resolution on the House floor read by Rep. Mike Bernskoetter.  The 2016-17 Z-Club raised $2,000 to fight Human Trafficking in Missouri.  Here they are featured with Senator Mike Kehoe.

The 2016-17 Z-Club was very busy this year helping raise funds  and awareness for human trafficking, cooking meals at the Salvation Army, and performing other service projects too many to count.  They continue to set the bar high for the upcoming Z-Club.

Z-Club Membership

Z Club offers an excellent opportunity for students to meet other students from local High Schools.

Z Club meets monthly throughout the school year and work on various service projects.

It is understood that students have other commitments and cannot attend all of the Z Club meetings, therefore students are asked to attend as many as possible.

The first meeting is an organizational meeting in which officers are elected and plans for the upcoming year are discussed. Z Club is sponsored by Zonta Club members who serve as mentors.
